The Bay Area has always been home to me. After college, earning my Degree in Business Administration with the emphasis in Marketing, I made my way back to Contra Costa County and in 1994 moved to Martinez. One of the first things I did was seek out the local Catholic church and when I set foot into St. Catherine of Siena Church I immediately knew that I had found a new home parish. I introduced my husband Brian to Fr. Carl Seewald and we were married here in July of 1996. It was truly the beginning of a wonderful spiritual growth as a couple and future St. Catherine family.
In 2010 I started working for the Parish which enabled me to be close to both my son Nicholas and daughter Julia as they attended our great Catholic school. It has been a wonderful experience seeing both my kids grow up in such a kind and welcoming community. Working here at St. Catherine's and being a school parent has enabled my family to become closer to our Lord and to the many people who serve our Parish. I have been fortunate to be an active member and have served both our parish or school in many aspects such as a Eucharistic minister, a School Room Parent, a CYO Board member, CYO Team Mom and the Youth Ministry Administrative Coordinator. As staff, working at St. Catherine of Siena has furthered my understanding of the many works of Parish Life. It has given me the opportunity to be at the forefront of providing comfort to those who seek a particular connection with our parish and the opportunity to build and communicate with our Hispanic Community. St. Catherine of Siena Parish is an extension of my being and by the grace of God I hope to continue being able to reach out and share the gifts I have been given.
