Overview

Preparation for Confirmation should lead the Christian toward a more intimate union with Christ and a deepened familiarity with the Holy Spirit in order to be more capable of assuming the apostolic responsibilities of Christian life.

Catechesis for Confirmation should strive to awaken a sense of belonging to the Church of Jesus Christ, the universal Church as well as the parish community.

Confirmation is a sacrament of maturity not in the chronological sense but in the sense of spiritual fullness, since Confirmation seals the perosn with the gift of the Holy Spirit which completes the grace of baptism.
In the Diocese of Oakland preparation for Confirmation is a 2-year process, for student's 9th thru 12th grade. Students are eligible to sign up in their freshman year of high school.

We are excited for the new year of journeying together in our faith. To best facilitate the registration process, we are asking that you gather the necessary documents ahead of completing and returning your registration packets.

The following documents are required for all students.

The Registration packets will be available for pick up beginning on Monday, July 15, 2024.
